Agricultural Machinery – Bracket
Agricultural machinery brackets are load-bearing connecting components for equipment such as tractors and harvesters and are subjected to vibration loads over long periods. As the domestic agricultural machinery equipment industry upgrades, OEMs continue to raise requirements for the surface quality and dimensional consistency of bracket castings. Traditional manual grinding produces large quality fluctuations and can hardly meet the needs of mass-production supporting delivery.
Agricultural machinery brackets are produced through sand casting, featuring numerous bent structures and significant variations in cross-sectional thickness. Castings are prone to shrinkage and expansion deformation after cooling and forming, resulting in differences in the contour of individual pieces. Flashes, burrs, and oxide scale tend to remain on parting surfaces and connecting ear positions. Traditional fixed fixtures can only be positioned according to theoretical dimensions and cannot accommodate casting deformation deviations, making under-grinding and uneven grinding depth prone to occur. Manual grinding is highly labor-intensive, and batch quality is unstable.
To address this grinding pain point, Quanyu Industry has developed an automated grinding solution for bracket castings based on 3D vision deviation correction technology. The equipment scans and captures the actual contour of each bracket casting in real time, uses algorithms to calculate shrinkage and expansion deformation and automatically compensate for it, resolves the problem of inaccurate positioning caused by casting deformation, and dynamically generates a grinding trajectory adapted to each individual workpiece, precisely removing flashes and burrs at ear positions, parting surfaces, and other locations.
After the equipment was put into application, the customer's bracket casting grinding batch consistency improved significantly, and the rework defect rate dropped sharply. Automated grinding replaces high-intensity manual positions, improving production cycle time and reducing labor costs and dust-related operational risks. The product stably meets agricultural machinery OEM supporting standards, helping the customer improve quality and efficiency and enhance competitiveness in the agricultural machinery casting market.
