The versatile griper can grip sand molds ranging from 1000 mm to 1400 mm in length without changeover. During lower‑mold placement into the flask, the gripping plate assemblies stay above the top plane and avoid interference with the mold cavity inside the supporting flask. Silicone rubber is adopted on contact surfaces with sand molds to prevent mold damage. A quick‑change disc can be fitted to suit mixed‑model production of cylinder blocks and cylinder heads. Mixed‑model lower‑mold placement is realized via quick‑change fixtures.
