Sand molds are gripped by air cylinders fitted with an electro‑pneumatic proportional valve, which automatically adjusts gripping pressure to avoid surface damage caused by over‑gripping small‑size sand molds. The universal fixture accommodates sand molds ranging from 1000 mm to 1400 mm in length. Different types of sand molds can be held by replacing the side gripping‑plate assemblies. Silicone rubber is applied on sand‑mold contact surfaces to prevent mold damage.
