Recently, at the 7th Shandong International Foundry Industry Exhibition, our independently developed next-generation intelligent grinding robot stood out among numerous competing exhibits, winning the "Outstanding Foundry Equipment Award" for its excellent technical performance, innovative design, and significant application value. This honor not only represents the industry's high recognition of our technological strength and product quality but also serves as a testament to the dedication and meticulous efforts of all our employees. We extend our sincere gratitude to all our colleagues and to the customers who have supported us. Special thanks go to Huxiwang Group for their support and trust in our company.
With the industry-first 3D vision-based deviation correction system addressing casting positioning and deformation challenges, rigid-flexible grinding tools meeting complex process requirements, and a grinding monitoring system ensuring equipment safety, Quanyu Industrial has integrated multiple functional modules into its grinding robots, achieving a leap from "automated grinding" to "intelligent digital grinding." The product's grinding precision and flexibility are industry-leading. TREEINCO's intelligent grinding robots have delivered significant economic and social benefits for customers in cylinder block and cylinder head grinding, axle housing grinding, construction machinery parts grinding, and high-mix, low-volume mixed-line production, establishing the company as a key driving force in the industry's transformation and upgrading.
The single-unit intelligent grinding robot on display at this exhibition is from the robotic grinding production line purchased by Huxiwang Group. Huxiwang Group is a Top 100 comprehensive enterprise in China's foundry industry and a pacesetter in the sector. For over 20 years, it has been providing high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainable castings and bearing components across six major fields — commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural equipment, special vehicles, robotics, and wind power — to world-class customers. Its clients are primarily Fortune Global 500 companies in the high-end equipment manufacturing industry, with its products covering over 20 developed countries and regions across four continents.
Huxiwang Group maintains extremely high quality control standards for castings, with a broad business scope and a wide variety of casting types. This imposes stringent requirements on robotic grinding equipment in terms of precision, tooling compatibility, and changeover convenience. Traditional grinding equipment often suffers from over-grinding or under-grinding when dealing with castings that have undergone shrinkage or expansion, resulting in the need for substantial subsequent manual rework. Additionally, reliance on fixture-based positioning requires the production of numerous jigs to accommodate various casting types, ultimately making it difficult to achieve expected overall grinding efficiency and cost targets.
In this project, TREEINCO fully leveraged its self-developed 3D vision system to accurately identify casting placement posture and surface appearance. The software algorithms guide the robot to adjust the grinding path in real time, reducing the residual stock of medium-to-large castings to below 0.5 mm in a single pass — eliminating the need for manual rework and fundamentally addressing the issue of subsequent manual finishing. This significantly improved grinding efficiency.
Functions such as online dimensional monitoring of castings and random bin picking enable the loading/unloading robot to identify different workpieces. Combined with universal tooling, it supports mixed-line automated loading and unloading — reducing tooling investment, accommodating multiple product types, and enabling convenient and efficient changeovers, while unlocking greater development potential for the automated line design of customers' finishing workshops.
